I love what I do.  I have the opportunity to work with you to make sure that everything you have worked for or will work for during your life does not end up in the hands of others or does not destroy your family.  Over my 22 years of practicing law, I have discovered that there is a real need for personal and practical legal advice for your family and in resolving disputes.  This is particularly true when creating your unique estate plan or helping you through probate after a loved one dies.  I have discovered that words have meaning, interpretations differ, and memories fade.  I can help you make sure your words have meaning, that your interpretation is expressed, and that they will stand the test of time even when memories fade.  The alternative is to have your family fight or let a probate judge make the decisions for you.

To better advise you, I obtained the prestigious Degree of Masters in Taxation from one of the top programs in the World at the University of Florida.  With my drafting and taxation background, I use my unique skill set to create a plan for you.

My goal is to understand you and make sure that my legal services satisfies your goals.  I take the role of legal advisor and counselor seriously and apply my real world experience to create a solution.

During my over two decades of practicing law, I had many experiences with mediation in resolving disputes between people.  I also saw and felt the frustration of when a decision was left to the Judge to decide a complex family situation wrapped around a legal issue.  My attorney friends and I would often discuss how difficult it was for judges to understand the situations when all they would hear is a brief snippet of the situation and be forced to make a decision.  I don't think I have heard of anyone enjoying the court process when going through a family dispute.  I did notice that mediation was different because it let the persons discuss in detail their wants and the reasoning behind those wants.  People actually left mediation happy or at least content that the dispute was actually over.  After two decades of being an attorney, I discovered that I had developed a passion for dispute resolution through the mediation process.  In particular, I wanted to mediate family disputes involving trusts and estates.   I completed mediation training both in California and Utah and have love being a mediator.  My goal is to help families resolve their dispute through mediation so that they can have a future focused post-dispute life.  I take the role of a mediator seriously and apply my experience to guide you through the mediation process.  As you can see below, I have 4 degrees all of which I am proud of as they were difficult to obtain while raising a large family.   I grew up in San Diego.  I have been married for over 30 years and have 5 children. I look forward to meeting and working with you.  Contact me today [email protected].
